As a leader in the Accounting & Financial Services industry, we are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join our ever-growing, dynamic and vibrant team in our brand new office in Calgary. Our Business Development Manager will be expected to deliver the business strategy for Audit Shield, strengthen its market position by locating, developing, negotiating and closing business relationships to achieve the agreed targets.
You will likely be a star performer in your current role, and be looking for a new challenge (previous experience selling into the accounting industry would be a distinct advantage).
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships – Canada, the main responsibilities of this role are to develop new business opportunities and leads through:
- Referrals from existing and new clients
- Cold calling accounting firms
- Direct and assisted direct sales lead generators (e.g. conferences, LinkedIn, discussion groups, etc.)
- Analyse, plan and structure prospect data and targets
- Pitch to new prospects and optimise social media to gain new referrals
- Support and drive marketing initiatives.
- Work collaboratively and strategically with the Account Managers and Sales Team
- Update and maintain leads or opportunities within ASOP
- Identify and match trendsetter ideas by researching the industry
To secure this exciting opportunity, you will have:
- Proven prospecting, negotiating and closing skills.
- A self-motivated personality with a natural drive and ambition to progress in a Sales position.
- Demonstrated finance and business acumen.
- Unlimited rights to work in Canada as this is a permanent full time position.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a Business Development or Sales role.
- A full Drivers licence and a well maintained car are essential.
- Ability to travel regularly across Canada when required.
- You’ll be flexible and happy to ‘roll your sleeves up’ to deliver what’s required.
- Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and be reasonably IT savvy.
- A RIBO or equivalent insurance licence (or willingness to obtain one).
This is a salaried role plus commission, a vehicle allowance, a carpark and tools of trade.
